Doctors in India are registered with a State Medical Council, and the National Medical Commission's Indian Medical Register lets you search them by name or registration number. Check the name, council, year and qualifications match, and be careful with clinics that hide who will treat you.

Search the register

The Indian Medical Register on the National Medical Commission's website lists doctors registered with the State Medical Councils. You can search by name, registration number, State Medical Council or year of registration. The register is still being updated, so if a doctor is missing, check with the State Medical Council too.
